South Lake Tahoe's Boutique Inn with a Bed and Breakfast Attitude is nestled between Lakeside Beach and Heavenly Village
The sparkling crystal blue and green waters of Lake Tahoe are three "lake blocks" west of the inn and about a 7-minute stroll. From watching the sun set over the mountain ridges to strolling hand in hand on the beach, everyone agrees that the magnificent view is unrivaled. The lake is a private community lake and all our guests are invited to enjoy the beach as our guests, for free.
While the deep waters reach depths greater than 1,600 feet and get icy cold, the water at the beach is shallow and warm enough to play and swim. Kayaking, jet skiing, power boating, fishing, stand-up paddle-boarding (SUP), para-sailing and water skiing are a few of the summer water sports on the lake. Other summer activities include hiking, cycling, golf, competitive running and swimming events, concerts, the Shakespeare festival and the Wa She Shu It Deh, the annual American Indian Art Festival.
The winter lake-scape with snow-capped mountains is simply breath-taking. Winter activities include downhill and cross country skiing, snowshoeing, tubing, sledding, skating, snowmobiling and winter cruises.
If you stroll three blocks west, you may visit our world-famous casinos in Nevada: Harvey's, Harrah's, the Hard Rock, Lakeside and of course the very modern Mont Blu. These casinos offer fabulous entertainment, dining, clubbing, gaming and of course, fine beverages. Harvey's out-door amphitheater features outstanding summer concerts that you can hear from the Inn's garden. On the California side, you will find Heavenly Village, a great collection of restaurants, shopping and family entertainment including a magic show at the Loft. Our guests consistently rank our location as a "10". And our guests always know best.
